Carolyn F. Calhoun

Carolyn Faye Brown Calhoun, 65, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee died Sunday, Mother’s Day, after a short illness. 

          She was born July 22, 1950 in Somerset, Kentucky to Bill and Emma Brown, and grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana.  She had lived in Marion County, Tennessee for 44 years, 39 years in South Pittsburg. 

          In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Roger Brown.

 She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Larry Calhoun; one daughter, Jennifer Calhoun; two grandchildren Summer Calhoun and Bryan Calhoun, all of South Pittsburg; two sisters, Joyce Sexton and Betty Judd both of Indianapolis; three brothers Ivan, David and Michael Brown all of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews and special niece and nephew Cindy Sexton and her son Andy also of Indianapolis; special friends Mike and Donna Killian and children; Leonard Wynn and Ruth O’Leary, all of South Pittsburg.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 5pm at Grace Baptist Church in South Pittsburg with the Reverend Ronnie Case officiating with a eulogy by Mike Killian. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.
