Nicolaus Martin Lisowski, 39, passed away on February 27 in Ooltewah, Tennessee.
Nic was born in Los Alamos, New Mexico and attended Pinon Elementary School. He graduated from Roswell High School, in Roswell GA, and attended Savannah College of Art and Design, graduating in 2002 with a Bachelor of Fine Art and Photography. Nic was a talented guitar musician, a master woodworking craftsman, and an excellent photographer. Nic had a variety of career activities, from working as a professional independent photographer, to building sustainable off the grid housing. His passion was carpentry and woodworking. His artistry and talents will be remembered and admired by all for whom he worked.
Nic was a kind, gentle and sensitive man, a loving father and a beloved son. He is survived by his son, Malachi (Lafayette, Colorado); mother and stepfather, Sharon and Ted Hunter (Ooltewah, Tennessee); and father and stepmother, Paul and Marilyn Lisowski (Los Alamos, New Mexico); brother, Peter Lisowski and sister-in–law, Xiao Bei Wang, and niece, Michelle Lisowski of (Denver); and step-brothers, Benjamin Maish Albuquerque, New Mexico, step-brother, William and Collette Hunter (Los Alamos); Amy and Jay Flores (Albuquerque); Great-Aunt, Nancy Lamb (Hampton, VA) and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church in Ooltewah, Tennessee on April 14 at 11:00 a.m.
