On the day that you were born the sun was a little brighter the air was a little crisper, and the world was a much better place. For fifty-two years you brought us so much love, joy and laughter. It seems like a short time to spend with such an extraordinary person.
Our hearts are broken as we mourn your loss from earth but we find comfort in knowing that you are home with God and surrounded by so many loved ones. You were greeted on the shores of heaven by your "deddy" Van Espy, sister Wanda Emerson, grandparents Charlie and Ruby Henderson, Lillian King and Ed Espy, niece Melissa Dawn Espy, several beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. Those here on earth, mama Gail Espy, brothers Danny and Donny Espy, very special nephew Jaden Sanders, son Steven Spradlin, two stepchildren Mary Ann Orr and Johnny Shipley, four adored grandchildren, Billy, Andrew, Jonathan and Summer. Aunts and uncles, Ruth Espy, Nancy & Ed Seaver, Cindy & Lamar Harris and Jack Reid. Several, much loved nieces & nephews and many cousins who will all cherish their time spent with you, we will always remember your kind and generous heart, we will chuckle at your hilarious since of humor, and forever be thankful that you touched our lives.
Family and friends will gather to pay tribute to Carlton's short but well lived life on Sunday, January 14 at 3 PM.  Please join us at Rossville First Church of the Nazarene, (901 McFarland Ave. Rossville, Ga.) as we pay our respects and say "see you later" to our Carlton.
A funeral procession will leave Covenant Funeral Home at noon on Monday, January 15 to take Carlton to his final resting place. Carlton's soul is rejoicing in heaven with his "deddy " Van and his body will be buried along side him at Freewill Cemetery in West Jefferson, Alabama.

The memorial service and graveside service will be officiated by Pastor Jeff Williams.

The family would like to thank dear friend Paul Lee.

Honorary pallbearers will be Carlton's wrestling family.

Accept God as your savior and follow his path for you, spend all the time that you can with your family & friends, do something to make someone happy each day, go to a wrestling match,  enjoy your favorite foods and laugh, laugh a lot....Carlton would have wanted that.
