Dorothy May Katzman, 98, daughter of the late Frank and Aurelia Kuchenrither, of Chattanooga died on Thursday, November 24, 2018 at her residence.
Dorothy graduated from Ohio University, taught school and was an avid gardener and square dancer. Dorothy and her husband of 68 years, Herbert (deceased), lived in Bradenton FL before relocating to Chattanooga in 2010. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Survivors include son, Herbert (Linda) of Chattanooga; daughter, Kathleen (Thomas) of Cincinnati OH; grandchildren, Christina Bennett (Todd) of Austin TX, Molly Boring (Marshall) of Brentwood TN, Andrew (Kelli) of Round Rock TX, Laura, Jennifer, and Suzanne (Ashley) Kahle all of Cincinnati OH; great-grandchildren Michael, Megan, Mark Hildner, Marin and Madden Bennett of Austin TX; Olivia and Alexandra Katzman of Round Rock TX, Katelyn and Jackson Boring of Brentwood TN and Mikayla and Mikko Kahle of Cincinnati.
Family will receive friends at 11 am on Wed., Nov. 28, in Holy Family Hall at OLPH Catholic Church, followed by Mass at noon. Father Mike Creason will officiate. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
