Frances Cole Obituary

Our beloved Mother went to be with The Lord on Oct., 23, 2018 from complications of COPD. Her passing was peaceful and sweet as she had beloved family members with her to comfort her as she passed. Two of her sons, Billy and Joey were there with her as her daughter Sandy was holding her hand and caressing gently while her daughter-in-law Marilyn had her other hand. Her grandson, Andrew was also there.

She was born in 1940 on December 20th in Akron, Ohio. She was adopted at the age of 6 months, by two wonderful people who could not have kids. Mr. & Mrs. Charles J. Forney gave her a wonderful and loving life. They moved to Chattanooga in 1956 and she graduated Central High School in 1958. She worked in the secretarial field until 1963, when she became a homemaker and mother.

She leaves behind four wonderful sons and one beautiful daughter and are as follows Jonathan “Johnny” Cole, Billy G. Cole Jr., Joseph R. Cole, Sandra M. Cole and James E. Reel Jr.; one son-in-law; four grandsons; two granddaughters and one great-grand daughter. They are as follows Fernando Forbes, Andrew A. Williams Jr., Jessie Lee Reel, Joshua Payne, Arterious Trendale Harris, Mia A. Williams, Joybeth Payne, Kassidee Williams and Anastasia N. Williams. There are also many, many dear friends over the years whom she loved and cared for going all the way back to Boone-Hysinger Public Housing until the present.

Our Mother raised all five kids by herself. She was a tough lady, but also very loving who cherished all of us especially our sister, Sandy. We were her world and she was our world. We would NOT trade her for all the riches of the world. She was our “Little Italian Mommy”!! We Love and Cherish You Mommy. We will see you in Heaven Soon, Hugs and Kisses!!!

    “Mother”

To you who raised us, we offer this thought, it is something we have learned without being taught in the entire world, there is no other to take the place of “OUR DEAR MOTHER”

She chose cremation over a traditional funeral.
