Dr. Michael E. Dobbs quietly passed away February 7,2019 at Alexian Rehabilitation, Signal Mountain, Tennessee. He was born October 11,1949 at Tachikawa, Japan to Lt. Col. James Robert Dobbs and Eleanor Burleson Dobbs.
He was graduated from Trinity University, San Antonio in 1971, Texas; University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas in 1975, and completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Travis AFB, California in 1979.
He married Susan Jones Dobbs in Orange, Texas in 1970. He joined the Air Force in 1971 and was honorably discharge in 1984 with the rank of Major.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a granddaughter, Makenna Ray Parker.
Surviving in addition to his wife Susan, are his daughters Megan Eades and husband Brian of Signal Mountain, TN, Melanie Bird and her husband Gary of Lenexa, KS. ;his sons Matthew Dobbs, La Veta CO. and Morgan Dobbs and his wife, Rachel of Ft. Worth, TX; nine grandchildren Turner Eades, Avery Eades, Brayden Dobbs, Brecken Dobbs, Abigail Bird, Owen Dobbs, Isabelle Dobbs, Paisley Dobbs, Alexis Parker and one great-grandchild. Two sisters, Lucinda Dobbs and Barbara Dobbs and many nieces and nephews.
He will be interned June 4,2019 in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
