Penni Jo Wilson, died suddenly in her home in Chattanooga on Saturday October 6th. She was fifty years old.
Penni was born September 7, 1968, in Canton, Illinois. For the last fifteen years she was a resident in Chattanooga. She graduated from Southern Illinois University earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She received her Master of Science degree in Biology from Eastern Illinois University. At the time of her death she was employed by Cleveland State Community College as a Professor of Biology.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas P. Wilson, loving daughter, Tabitha; mother and father, Don and Joyce Whitten, Morton IL.; sister, Tammi (Roger) Latham, Lakeworth, Fl; brothers, Tad (Page) Whitten, Congerville, IL. Darin (Dana) Whitten Rochester,IL.. She is also survived by two nieces and two nephews.
She was full of many talents and gifts, teaching, singing, art, loved the outdoors and nature. Her greatest love was for her husband Tom and her wonderful daughter Tabitha. Above all else she loved her savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. She was a member of Saint Michael's (The Father's House) for last fifteen years where she was a member of the Worship Team and Prayer Team.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Saint Michael's 2330 Hickory Valley Road Chattanooga on Saturday, October 13, at 10:00AM.
