Arthur Henry Lutz, 77, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away peacefully on January 26,2025. Born on June 17, 1947, in Palatine, Illinois, Arthur was a man of steadfast character, generous spirit, and skilled hands.
Arthur was a talented carpenter by trade, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship that spoke to his dedication and love for his work. A resident of Chattanooga for over 30 years, he was known for his dependability, always willing to lend a hand to friends, family, or neighbors in need.
He was a devoted member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where his faith was a cornerstone of his life. Arthur loved the outdoors and could often be found riding his beloved Jeep or enjoying the open road on his motorcycle, a passion he cherished for many years.
Arthur was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle Lutz, in 2017. He is survived by his children: Shari McKay, Robbie Coates, Kim Lutz, and Deb Phillips; his stepchildren: Wendi Jamerson, Jill Petty, Nekole Ramsey, and Alex Kanavos; and his brother-in-law, Jerry Dzierlinga.
Arthur will be remembered as a loyal friend, a loving father, and a man who lived life fully. His generosity and kind spirit left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.
A celebration of Arthur's life will be held at Brainerd Hills Church of God, 410 Friar Road, Chattanooga, TN, at 3 PM on Thursday, January 30th,2025.
Arthur's memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
