Alan Lee Robinson, 71, of Chattanooga, TN passed away on December 14, 2019, in his home surrounded by his family.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 19th, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Community Baptist Church. The funeral will be held on Friday, December 20th, at 11:00 am at Community Baptist Church in East Ridge with a service officiated by Ken Guth. A graveside service, officiated by Tracey Daniels, will follow at 1:00 pm at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Alan was born in Plymouth, IN on December 28, 1947. After graduating from Triton High School in Bourbon, IN, he served in the Army from 1968 to 1970. He then went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Grace College and a Masters in Religious Studies from Tennessee Temple Seminary.

Alan was married to Janet Stults Robinson on April 7, 1974; they were married 45 years.

After serving with Baptist International Missions as a missionary in the Bahamas for 5 years, he returned to the home office and worked in the business department for an additional 32 years. Alan went on to be the Pastor of Community Baptist Church in East Ridge, TN for 13 years.

Alan is preceded in death by his father, Mahlon Robinson of Tippecanoe, IN.

Alan is survived by his wife, Janet Robinson and their 4 children (Christa, Susanna, Seth, and Janna), 2 sons-in-law (Jeremy Coombs and Jeff Baldwin), and 6 grandchildren (Tori Robinson, Anna Duke, Owen Baldwin, Ava Baldwin, Callie Baldwin, and Jacob Coombs). He is also survived by his mother - Helen Robinson; brother - Steve Robinson; and sister - Janet Longenecker.

Above all, Alan loved the Lord and passionately pursued a relationship with Him. He often expressed that his desire was to "walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls us into His own kingdom and glory," that he might hear "well done thy good and faithful servant."

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Community Baptist Church that will be used to purchase Bibles through The Gideons International and Light For Israel.
