Joy Foote, devoted wife and loving mother, fell asleep peacefully in the arms of her lord and savior, Jesus Christ on March 6, 2016. Joy was born to Lloyd and Florence McClellan on July 18, 1940 in Takoma Park, MD. In 1958 she graduated from Takoma Academy and afterword finished her technical training at Strayer Business School in Washington D.C. Joy was a secretary and homemaker by trade. She was an avid baker and loved to collect souvenir thimbles. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ron McClellan (Clarksburg, WV), and husband Bob Foote (Deland, FL). Joy is survived by daughter, Pamela Foote (Point-of-Rocks, MD), and son, Craig Foote (Chattanooga, TN) as well as her two grandsons Bobby and CJ (Chattanooga, TN). A private memorial service for family and close friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made in her memory to the Alzheimers Association or the American Diabetes Association
