Obituary

Brad Lee Snow, 64 years old of Harrison died suddenly and unexpectedly on July 17, 2025 at PARKRIDGE hospital in Chattanooga, TN. Born as Timothy Wayne Snow on July 2, 1961 in Ft Oglethorpe, GA to the late Norma and George Snow. He would later, very proudly save his money up to have his name changed legally to Brad Lee Snow after meeting a waiter at a Chinese restaurant whose name was Brad. When he was 18 months old, he got bit by a mosquito and contracted encephalitis. His brain swelled during this time which caused Brad to have the mind of a 10 year old child forever. Doctors told his parents that he most likely would not live to see his teenage years. He defied the odds against him by outliving both his parents. Before his father passed, George M asked Stephanie, Brads niece to make him a promise to look after Brad for the rest of Brads life. He had a muscadine vineyard that his father left him in charge of and for many years he did really well maintaining the vines. He enjoyed picking and selling his harvest every year. He would go to church and Walmart where he would tell everyone he met about his muscadines and his address where they could pick them up. His brother Steve and nephew Stephen kept up the maintenance and landscaping while Brad did most the pruning, picking and selling of the muscadines. He met many friends through the years whom he cherished and talked about often. His best friend and ex brother in law Ed Hall was his most favorite friend of all. He respected Brad and did not treat him differently because of his disability. He also lived right behind him so Brad would walk over to see him from time to time. After Ed died, Brad would say how much he missed him and couldn't wait to get to Glory to see Ed again. He was ready for that new body and to not have to go to another doctor for 100 years. His days were spent in the comfort of his own home where he always wanted to be. He wrote books from the Bible, joke books, letters to every country singer you could think of as well as many actors. He would build 1,000 piece puzzles, draw pictures with Stencils then color them, took pictures of everything (back when people still used film for developing) He would save the negatives as well as the film containers that are still packed away in his closet. He had watched Wheel of Fortune since it started in 1975 and would write down all the puzzles solved on a daily basis at 7pm. He even asked for his clipboard at the first hospital the evening before his passing so he did not miss writing them down. Brad was special and had the best if hearts. He never met a stranger and if he really liked you, he would not only remember your name but also the date he met you. His dream was to move to the Blue Ridge mountains and have all those country singers he wrote to buy him some property he had picked out with 2 houses side by side. One built the way he wanted it and the other one built beside his the way Stephanie wanted hers built. Brad believed in Santa with his whole heart. He would start early each year writing Christmas lists for everyone he knew. He would think of things that others might want and that's the stuff he would write on the lists. The week before Christmas, his niece Stephanie would take him to Northgate Mall to hand deliver his and his friends Christmas lists. He would always be in bed extra early on Christmas Eve and made sure everyone else in the house went to bed as well. He truly believed in Santa with his whole heart just as a small child would believe. Brad was very close to the Lord and he always turned things out of our control over to God (The Man Upstairs). His quirky little sayings, his laughter and jokes about Dolly will be sorely missed. Brad taught us more than we could have ever taught him. We will carry him in our hearts until we see him again. Together again in Heaven with parents Norma and George M Snow, Daniel Fisher (great nephew), several other friends/family and all his favorite pets he kept/noticed through the years. Survived by brothers, Steve (Betty) Snow of Ooltewah,TN, Mike (Mary) Snow of Woodstock, GA, sister; Dotty (Jim) Weller of Harrison, TN, niece; Stephanie and great nephew; Sam Fisher; nephews; Stephen Snow, Jeremy Snow, Jerry Snow. John 14:2-6 Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you as Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know. I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
