Brenda Jean Sorrough Gass, 71, of Ringgold, GA joined her Heavenly Redeemer on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. She fought the good fight of Faith all the way to the end. She walked the walk and talked the talk; lived by Faith and not by sight.

She was born in Chattanooga, TN on April 22, 1949. She served her ministry by helping the elderly in her 30s and 40s, in nursing homes as well as children and backyard Bible school was her gift. Sunday school teaching and telling others as witness of Gods Salvation and how they can be free again.

She graduated from Central High School in 1967. She was a Cosmetologist in her early years. Her last occupation before retiring was at Ridgedale Baptist Church as a Dietary Manager for 5 years.

She was predeceased by her parents, William Hugh & Missouri Jean Fleming Sorrough; uncles, Leonard Fleming; Alton Fleming; aunt, Geneva Fleming; son-in-law, Tim Steadman; grandparents, Teasley Beatrice Byrun Fleming and Willie John Fleming.

She attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church for 10 years; New Haven Baptist Church for 12 years and Abbas House for 1 year.

Her mother led her to the Lord January 30, 1968 at 9:15 p.m. by Dr. Lee Roberson at Highland Park Baptist Church. In her early life she attended Dogwood Baptist Church in Tunnel Hill, GA. Her lifetime verse was John 3:16. She lived her life fully sanctified to Jesus, her family and friends. She had many and was deeply loved more than she knew. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughters, Sabrina Gass and Joy Adams; grandsons, Samuel Steadman, Simon Steadman; granddaughter, Makenzie McWhorter; uncle, Jack Fleming and aunt, Linda Fleming.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 in Abbas House from 11a.m. to 1p.m. Bro. John Jacques will conduct the funeral at 1p.m. in the church. Interment will follow in Tyner Cemetery.
