Bruce Edward Vaughn, 81, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018, after a long battle with lung cancer.

He was predeceased by his parents, four brothers, and one sister.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sallie Vaughn; daughters, Sharone (Bill) Lowery, Karren (John) Merritt; grandchildren, Brandon Merritt, Natalie (Andrew) Paulsen, Jason Lowery, Brett Lowery, Hannah (Caleb) Clements, and Tyler Lowery; brother, James Vaughn; and sisters, Nadine (Ronnie) Nichols, and Sheila Dalton.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 23, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Ridgedale Baptist Church in the Ridgedale Room, 1831 Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37421. A private burial for the family will be held and officiated by Dr. Doug Plumlee.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
