Carol Verlene Baldwin, 79, of Chattanooga, TN, began her rest in Jesus, Friday, March 21, 2025. She had a profound and loving relationship with her savior Jesus Christ and was very active in the North River Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Chattanooga, supporting outreach ministries to the community of Chattanooga. Her hobbies were cooking, gardening and bird watching and loving all dogs, especially her doggie, Angel. She was a loving grandmother of fourteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
She was predeceased by her parents, Elba Verl & Mary Fern France; brother, Jimmy France.
Survivors include her husband of twenty-five years, Chaplain (Major) Richard T. Baldwin, U.S. Army Retired; sons, Columbus Osgrove (Carmen) Williams, III, Richard Allen (Patricia) Green; niece, Julie Ebenhach; brothers, Tommy France, Danny (Anne) France, Terry (Judy) France; sisters, Peggy Wielinski, Charolene Zeek.
Visitation will be at the North River Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 949 Runyan Dr., Chattanooga, TN on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Pastor Mike Pettengill will conduct the service in the church at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
