Carol Deanne Brooks Courtney, 81, of East Ridge passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020. Carol was a devoted Christian. She was employed by the East Ridge Police Department for over 30 years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Taft Books & Jessie Morris; step-father, Albert Crane.

Survivors include sons, Milford Courtney, John 'Tony' Courtney; daughters, Susan (Robert) Watkins, Lisa Ann Ripper, Sherri (Mike) Walker; grandchildren, Brian Courtney, Richard Ripper, Virginia Saucier, Sandie Courtney, Robert 'Trey' Watkins, Rachel Watkins; six great-grandchildren; sister, Nece (Joe) O'Rear, niece, Jenny Eustice.
