Carolyn Reynolds Jensen, 83, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.

Carolyn was born on April 28, 1939 in Chattanooga to the late Mark and Elizabeth Reynolds. She was a 1957 graduate of Girls Preparatory School, and she received her Bachelor's Degree from UT Chattanooga, her Masters Degree from Central Michigan University, and her Doctorate from UT Knoxville. In 2009, Dr. Jensen retired from Dalton State College after more than 20 years, serving in various roles as Professor, Administrator, and Division Chairperson of the Technical Division.

In her retirement she maintained her primary home in Chattanooga, but she enjoyed second homes and sojourns with her family in Calabassas, CA, Manhattan, NYC, Washington D.C., West Hollywood, CA, and Long Beach, CA.

She is survived by her son, Andrew (Jessica) Jensen; grandson, Joseph Clark Jensen II; her sister, Nancy Reynolds Clarke of Savannah, GA, and many nieces, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Joseph Clark Jensen, and her son Michael Joseph Jensen.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, February 6 beginning at 10am at GraceWorks Church, with the funeral service at 11:30am at the church following the visitation, with Pastor Michael Prettyman officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hills Cemetery following the church service.
