Carolyn Sue Keown, 80, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025. Carolyn, often referred to as Sue by friends and family, always put her family first. She raised five children and shared a loving marriage with her husband, Lonnie, for 65 years. Sue enjoyed gardening and long rides through the Smoky Mountains. She especially looked forward to the first snowfall of each year. She loved large family gatherings and showed her love through her cooking. She was preceded in death by her sons, Brian Keown and Lonnie Keown, and her grandson, Eli Keown. She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Keown; her son, Shane (Jamie) Keown; her daughters, Sherry (James) Hobby and Kim (Roger) Stevens; her granddaughters, Amanda (Richard) Mitchell, and Shelby Woolwine; her grandsons, Tyler Keown, Landon Keown, and Skyler Woolwine, Roger Stevens and Gabe (Tessa) Stevens; her great-grandchildren, Warren, Benjamin, Jeremiah, Trinity, and Ryder. Dr. Korbet Swope will conduct the graveside service will be held on Monday, January 5, at 1:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
