Charles A. (Chuck) Cox, age 89, of Ooltewah, TN passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

Chuck was born on July 8, 1936, in Midland, Michigan. He was the only child of Dorcie Cox and Lorena (Bergtold) Cox. He graduated from Midland High School in 1955 and married the love of his life, Sue Ann DeGeer on October 30, 1959. They were married 58 years at the time of her passing.

Chuck was an airman, a gifted business administrator but, most importantly, a man of God. Through out his years in ministry in Atlanta, Bosnia, Aruba and the Fiji Islands he shared the gospel of Jesus Christ. To many in ministry he became known as "Papa Chuck".

He is survived by children Lora (Randy) Kilgore, Cathy (Clay) Miller and Brian (Katie) Cox.

Grandchildren Andrew (Sara) Cox, Remy (Danielle) Miller, Quinn (Tori) Miller, Melissa Cox and Wil Cox; and his great grandchildren, Iver and Westley Cox.

He will be interred in a private family service at the National Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN on April 17, 2026, at 2:30 pm.
