Charles Laverne Wilson Jr., age 87, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025. Charles was originally from Wellsboro, PA and moved his family to Chattanooga in 1974. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN. He worked for Trinity Baptist Church and Christian School as well as Shenandoah Baptist Ministries. He was predeceased by his wife, Rosella Ann Wilson; parents, Charles L. & Louise Wilson, Sr. and his brother, Ken Wilson. Survivors include his children, Steven & Diane Wilson, Tim & Felecia Wilson, Ray & Holly Wilson, Danny & Lisa Wilson, Malinda & Doug Carr, Charleen & Michael Rader; grandchildren, Christopher, Jen, Sarah, Jeremy, Amy, Josh, Jordan, Mallory, Sara, Jared, Jacob, Andrew; with many great-grandchildren; brothers, Ed & Joyce Wilson, Bill Wilson; sister, Barb Turk. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Heritage Baptist Church from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. Pastor Chris Gaither will conduct the funeral at 1 p.m. in the church. Interment will follow in Tyner Cemetery.
