Christopher Wayne Joy, 65, of Madisonville, Tennessee, passed away, on July 5, 2026. He was born on November 21, 1960, in Griffin, Georgia to Roland and Sue Joy. After graduating from Collegedale Academy in Collegedale, Tennessee in 1978 Chris worked at McKee Baking Company for over 30 years and built a rewarding career as a key leader in the Environmental Services Department.

Chris will be lovingly remembered for his infectious humor, his love of cars, travel, faith, and his deep dedication to his family. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a doting grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Chic (Agnes); his daughter, Amy Watkins (Jason Watkins); son, Jason Joy (Jennifer Joy); bonus son Chris Coleman; bonus daughter, Alissa Boudreau (Christian Boudreau), and his five grandchildren, Briana & Bryson Gladden, Nate & Luke Joy, and Aria Coleman; his mother, Susan Joy Green; older brother, Roland Joy, Jr. (Beverly Joy); and younger brother, Danny Joy (Ivymae Joy).

A celebration of life will be held on July 30 at 1p.m. at the McDonald SDA Church, 5440 McDonald Rd, McDonald, TN. Friends and family are invited to attend and share their favorite memories of Chris.
