Clara (Bosshart) Pepple passed away peacefully in her daughter's home on June 14, 2025, surrounded by close family.
Clara was born on January 17, 1940, in Bazenheid, Switzerland, to Gottlieb and Klara Bosshart. She was the oldest of six daughters there, and grew up being her father's right hand on the dairy farm. Clara recalled fond memories of hooking up the milk carts to the farm dogs for transport to the village. Her upbringing instilled a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature and animals. She would carry her Swiss heritage, especially her love of the mountains, her entire life.
Clara accepted Christ as her Savior in June of 1959 in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada. She then attended Bible college at Briercrest College and Seminary in Saskatchewan where she met Dennis Topp. Clara and Dennis were married December 31, 1961. They were blessed with their daughter, Heidi. Following the death of Dennis, Clara was married to Perry Pepple on October 11, 1964. Their union was blessed with children: Corey, Brenda, Rebekah, Brian, and Twila.
Clara will be remembered for her strength, her radiant spirit, her generous heart to give, and her love of children. She took on many charitable endeavors, most recently collecting children's clothing for a mission in Mongolia and supporting a Christian radio station and two children in Honduras. Her spirit shone it's brightest under the pastorship of Steve Roberson during her years of faithful membership at Calvary Baptist Church of Redbank, Tennessee, with her most recent church family being Hillside Baptist Church of Hixson, Tennessee
Clara is preceded in death by her parents: Gottlieb and Klara, two sisters: Sonya and Rosemarie, and husbands: Dennis and Perry. She is survived by her sisters: Sylvia, Marlis, Doris, Heidi, and her brother: Michael as well as her children: Heidi Altum, Corey (Annette) Pepple, Brenda (Pat) Tobin, Rebekah Pepple, Brian Pepple, and Twila Pepple and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
