Clarence R. Tallant, 79, of Tyner/Silverdale passed away Monday. He retired from Mayfield Dairy Farms after 41 years. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

He was predeceased by his son, Jeff Tallant; parents, Ted & Media Tallant; brothers, Ed, Theodore, Jack & his sister, Mildred.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Zella; daughter, Dana; son, Tommy; granddaughters, Brittany, Nash & Allie Tallant; great-grandson, Cooper Nash & several nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 19 from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10-11a.m. at Brainerd Hills Church of God, 410 Friar Rd. Chattanooga, TN. The Rev. Larry Nash will conduct the service at 11 a.m. of Friday. Interment will follow at Tyner Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
