Dona (Donna) Christine McDaniel, 75, of Chattanooga, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, February 26, 2019, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Born May 19, 1943 in Chattanooga, TN, she was one of 5 children. She lived the last 30 years in Chattanooga and was a woman of integrity, compassion and hard work. She never met a stranger and had a smile for everyone that made them feel welcome in her presence.

She was preceded in death by her 3 brothers, Linus McWhorter, Larry McWhorter and Gary McWhorter.

Survivors include her daughter, Pamela (Ed) Burris; sons, Paul White and Jeffrey (Kelly) White; and her sister, Deborah Morgan; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Donna was a devoted wife and companion and a beloved mother and friend. She remained intelligent and humorous until the very end of her earthly journey.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 1 at the Brainerd Hills Church of God on Friar Rd. from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donnas son-in-law, Bro. Ed Burris will conduct a celebration of life for Donna in the sanctuary at 1 p.m.
