Edna Walton McGavock, 84, of Hixson, Tennessee passed away peacefully, January 26, 2024, surrounded by family and her husband.

Edna was born in Trenton, New Jersey, April 24th, 1939 to Edward & Elsie Walton. She graduated from Miami Jackson High School in 1956.

Edna worked various jobs, prior to a 20-year career as an office manager for a Hospital Laboratory in Miami Beach, Florida.

Edna & Robertson McGavock were married in Miami, Florida on January 2nd, 1959.

They had two children, Jennifer Christine & Robertson Crockett, Jr. They lived & worked in Miami for approximately 30 years. After retirement, Edna enjoyed many things like reading, crocheting, dancing, cooking, picture framing & traveling. Her favorite pastime was spending time with and listening to all the new experiences of her four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who knew her affectionately as "Manga".

Edna was a devoted wife to the love of her life Robertson McGavock. They recently celebrated 65 years of marriage.

She was predeceased by her parents, Edward & Elsie Walton of Miami, FL, & her brother, Donald Feehan, Sr., of Levittown, PA.

Surviving include her husband, Robertson McGavock, Sr.; daughter, Jennifer (Wayne) Woodrum; son, Robertson (Jackie) McGavock, Jr.; grandchildren, Paul Carnright-Woodrum, Brian (Nicole) McGavock, Ashley (Brian) Morgan, Renee (Jon) McGavock-Smith & five amazing great-grandchildren & many nieces and nephews.

Dual Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery at the death and cremation of her husband, Robertson McGavock, Sr.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Childrens Hospitals.

A Celebration of Life will be held with family and friends, Saturday, February 10th, 2024, anytime from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the family home.
