Retired SMSgt Edward Randolph 'Randy' Bryson was born March 19, 1944 on Scottsboro, AL and died March 8, 2017 in Chattanooga, TN.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary & Sam Simmons and grandparents, Emma and Robert Shook.
He is survived by granddaughter, Trish Tucker; siblings, Carole, Sam, Linda & Marty Simmons; several nieces & nephews, many friends and a houseful of beloved cats. He was a big fan of Auburn football, science fiction and his mama often proclaimed him to be her sweetest child. Randy served in the USAF for 26 years as a radar specialist in Vietnam, Alaska, the Philippines, Thailand and Las Vegas earning many honors, including the Air Force Commendation with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters, Distinguished Presidential Unit Citation, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with Valor with 7 Oak Leaf Clusters, and The Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars.
The Reverend Ron Perry will conduct a memorial service at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Thursday at 2pm.
