Elizabeth Anne (Wolfe) Cochrane of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away in her sleep at home with her family on Wednesday 16 November 2017 at age 92.
'Betty', as she was known to her friends, was born on March 15, 1924 in Des Moines, IA.
She is survived by her 3 children; Jan, Rick, and Steve; 1 granddaughter, Paige Cochrane Pickett, 2 great grandchildren Ainsley and Jake, and her sister, Bobbie Wolfe Hood of Smyrna, GA. Her sweet and ever vigilant k9 guardian, Suzie was as her side providing comfort.
She is Pre-deceased by her husband Ken Cochrane, and her parents, Herbert and Gladys Wolfe
Betty attended school in Des Moines, IA until her college years when she attended Fletcher College and met her soon to be husband, Ken Cochrane. They remained married for 68 years until his death in 2012.
Once she and her family settled in Chattanooga, Betty worked at the Siskin 365 club, taught music, and produced their annual Christmas play for the children to show their appreciation to the community. She was an amazingly talented musician and composed many works for bells that Ken used for his hand bell performers.
She had a very strong faith in God and Jesus and would frequently read from her bible and pray at the breakfast room table asking God for comfort and guidance.
