Elizabeth (Betty Gray) Livermon Cowan, 82, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away peacefully on June 23rd, 2025 of natural causes. She was born on November 3, 1942, in Windsor, NC, to Luther Tennyson (LT) Livermon and Nancy Gray Burden Livermon. Betty Gray was a mom, grandma, and great-grandma who loved family, nature, crafts, reading, really bad SyFy/disaster movies and lots of laughing while enjoying a refreshing Coca-Cola. Betty Gray was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son, Justin Graham Cowan. She is survived by her sister, Bobbie Ann Clear; brother, Lu Livermon; children, and grandchildren: Lisa West (Vince), Elysa McGuire, Donovan West; Christy Turner (Ross), Katie Lee Sommers, Caleb Turner, Lily McGuire, Ben Turner; Mary Helen Smith (Steve), Emma Smith, Clara Smith, Willa Smith and Duncan Smith. She also enjoyed her 4 great-grandchildren: Rhiannon West, Elliana Sommers, Elliot McGuire, and Mason Sommers. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Special Olympics.
