Eric Bruce "Pete" Arp, of Georgetown, TN, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025. He was 87. He was at home, surrounded by his family, after a hard‑fought battle with Parkinson's and other health issues. He is now at peace with his son, Chip.
He retired early from Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 43 after 39 years. After retiring from Plumbers and Steamfitters, he and his wife, brother, and sister‑in‑law opened Mtn. Meadows Par‑3 Golf and Driving Range, which they operated for 20 years. He really enjoyed meeting and talking with new friends.
He was a loving husband to Jeanette for 65 years. He was a great father, father‑in‑law, brother, brother‑in‑law, uncle, and friend to many.
His greatest joy was going to the dirt track races to watch his son, Skip. He was so proud of Skip and his racing accomplishments.
He was preceded in death by his son, Eric Bruce "Chip" Arp Jr.; his parents, Gordon and Melba "Bobo" Arp; and his grandmother, Mamie "Dee" Bruce.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Holland Arp; his son and daughter‑in‑law, Skip and Janice Arp; his brother and sister‑in‑law, Mickey and Rosemary Arp; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins. He also leaves behind two special friends, Joe Bales and Tommy Basham. At Pete's request, there will be no services.
