Ettha "Lorraine" McDaniel Chandler, 83, of Fort Oglethorpe, passed away August 2, 2016 at home. She was a member of the Battlefield Community Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Elsie McDaniel and her daughter Deborah Sue Chandler.

She is survived by sons Roger (Gail) Chandler; Douglas Jr (Greta) Chandler; Stephen (Kathy) Chandler; and daughter Alyson Chandler. She has eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be in Battlefield Community Seventh-day Adventist Church, Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pastor Bob Deforest will conduct the service at 1 p.m. in the church.

Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga. The family thanks Gay, Angie, Cookie, Jennifer, Kim, Donna, Jeff, and Rebecca of Hospice for their gentle assistance during the last few months.
