Faye Ogle Daverson, 97, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 24 in Paducah, Kentucky. She was born November 10, 1916 in Sevier County, Tennessee to the late Newt and Minnie Bradshaw Ogle. She was also predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Claude F. Daverson, her son, Richard Alan and his daughter, Trina and two brothers, Claude W. and Don R. Faye lived most of her life in Chattanooga, graduating from Central High School and McKenzie College. She retired from the business office at Tennessee Temple University. She was a long time member of Highland Park Baptist Church, where she belonged to Grace Bible Class and Britton Circle.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and John Ross of Paducah, Kentucky; sister, Marjorie Ogle, of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Lisa (Greg) Ivins, of Knoxville, Krista Ross of Anchorage, Alaska and Rick Daverson of Bay Springs, Mississippi and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens Chapel from 10:30 to 11 Tuesday. The Rev. Ray Thompson will conduct the service at 11 in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to either Baptist International Missions (BIMI) or to Cathy Thompson, missionary to Hungary.
