Felt Stanifer Ables, 99, of Fort Oglethorpe, GA passed away June 2, 2019 short of his 100th birthday June 5, 2019.

He was a World War II Veteran receiving the Purple Heart in the Battle of the Bulge.

He was predeceased by his parents, Bill & Denia Ables; brothers, Winfred Ables, Hubert Ables, Clifford Ables; sister, Virgie Coffel; son-in-law, Bill Ditmore and former wife, Moa Ables.

Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Ruby Ables; daughters, Gloria Ables Ditmore and Wanda Ables Luttrell; step-daughter, Vicki Gilreath; granddaughter, Annette Luttrell; sister, Arbutus Arnold and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Friday, June 14 at 2p.m.
