Flora Josephine Moreland Gill, 87, was called from labor to eternal rest on Friday, May 24, 2024, after a long illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev.Robert Lester Moreland and Cleo Athine Nichols Moreland, and her husband, John William Gill.

A Christian, Mrs. Gill was baptized by her father and was a lifelong member of Brainerd Baptist Church.

She graduated from Chattanooga High School and attended Carson-Newman University.

Surviving are her children, Donna Lynn Gill Davis, Mark Moreland Gill, and Christy Angela Gill; grandchildren, Richard Brandon Davis and John Bailey Davis; four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 11 a.m. Greenwood Cemetery, with Rev Bill Mason officiating.
