James Trent Bankston, 44, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018. He was born on June 7th, 1973 and raised Chattanooga Tennessee. James loved his family very much and had a heart of gold. He was always ready to help anyone with anything at the drop of a hat. As a team, James learned the art of carpentry while on the job and successfully made a career out of the trade. He was always curious and always eager to learn about all there is to know about a subject, from the stars and plants to dinosaurs and aliens and everything in between.

James was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Howard Bankston.

He is survived by his mother, Eleanor May Tucker Esslinger; sisters, Lissa Gaye Bankston, Jonie Rene Panlaqui; brother, Steven Lee Bankston and three children Damon Christian Hix, Hannah Paige Marie Simpson, Trent Gage Bankston; many nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.

A celebration of James will be held on Saturday, June 2nd, from 3 - 5pm at Middle Cross Baptist Church, 4009 Norcross Road, Hixson Tennessee 37343.
