James Scotty Bowman Jr., born October 25, 1982, passed away at Erlanger Hospital on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at age 37, from complications of the kidney and liver disease that he courageously battled his entire life. He was surrounded by his parents whom have lovingly been his greatest supporters every step of his journey.

Scott was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and a graduate of Red Bank High School. He had a passion for music and loved to collect vinyl records. Scott was a concert enthusiast and loved traveling to venues in appreciation of the arts.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James Edward and Margie Cleo Bowman; his maternal grandparents, William Lee and Mary Ann Shafer and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his parents, James Scotty Sr. and Cheryl Lynn Bowman; his siblings, Richard Eugene Shelley, Jennifer Rene (William) Busse, Marianne Michelle Bowman; his nieces, Katie JoLynn Busse, Jemesia Marie Cleo Bowman; his nephews, William McGowan Busse, Trajan L James Bowman and several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Family and Friends will be notified.
