James Douglas Widmer, age 55, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on September 21, 2014, after a short battle with cancer. Jim was born in Akron, Ohio, on May 3, 1959, to James Victor Widmer and Joan Lou Kunce. He is a graduate of Ooltewah High School and worked most recently at Gestamp North America. Jim loved Tennessee football, NASCAR and working on anything mechanical. He is survived by sisters Diane Widmer Dales and Patricia Ann Widmer, brother-in-law Ronald Dales, niece Kristen and nephew Kevin. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. The Rev. Tony Cates will conduct the service Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Please use 988 Donaldson Road, East Ridge, TN 37412 for GPS directions.
