Jeanetta Goforth Cearley, 70, of Ringgold, GA died Saturday, March 22.
She was the devoted and loving wife of Claudell Cearley for 52 years as well as a loving mother and grandmother. She was a dedicated member of the East Ridge United Methodist Church, participated in many church functions and a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was the chair person of the Esther Circle for many years.
She loved to cook for all to enjoy, especially her cakes. She loved to mail cards that spread sunshine and smiles as well as visiting "shut-ins".
Jeanetta worked at East Ridge Baptist Church Day Care, was a babysitter at her home for teachers and a house keeper for many.
She was predeceased by her mother, Clymenia Jones Goforth; father, Wesley Kirby Goforth, Sr. and brother, Wesley Kirby Goforth, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Claudell Cearley; daughters, Connie (Larry) Hilley & Jeanene Irwin; granddaughter, Lacey (Trae) Painter; grandson, Weston Ivey and brother, Tim Goforth of Gold Hill, Oregon.
The family will receive friends at East Ridge United Methodist Church on Monday, March 24 from 5-8 p.m. and 12-2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev Ken Sauer will conduct the service at 2 p.m. in the church.
Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South following the service.
The family wishes to thank everyone for sending prayers and cards.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society in her name.
