Jimmie Dale Teasley, Jr. 'Smiley' passed away quietly on May 6, 2024. He was born on January 1, 1955 in Dalton, GA. Jimmie spent many years on the road, driving a semi all over the USA, but he was much more than a professional truck driver. He was a mechanic, artist, musician, and friend to everyone he met. Jimmie's CB handle and nickname was Smiley, and anyone who ever met him knows why. In both good days and trying times, he offered his infectious, endearing, and genuine smile to everyone he encountered.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Dale Teasley, Sr.; mother, Betty Evans Teasley Newton, and brother, Frank Blake Teasley.

He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth 'Witchit' Teasley (Allen) Jones .

A celebration of Jimmie's life will be held at Viviant Healthcare at 8249 Standifer Gap Road in Chattanooga on May 23 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm, with a brief program and open microphone at 5:00 to share memories with his family, friends, and Viviant staff who have lovingly cared for him for many years. All are invited to share some of Jimmie's favorite fare: pizza and banana pudding.
