Joan McGregor Jones McMahan's, journey through life ended early in the morning of Jan 31, 2015. A resident of Chattanooga most of her life, she was 85. She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert L. Jones of Nashville, TN and her second husband, Wade J. McMahan of Sweetwater, TN. She is survived by her son, Leonard M. (Greg) Jones of Marietta, GA. An animal lover all of her life, she had been active in the Chattanooga Obedience Club and the Chattanooga Kennel Club. She bred, raised, trained and showed, Golden Retrievers and later, Papillions. A gracious, caring, compassionate woman who always had a smile and a good word for everyone she encountered, she will be greatly missed. In her memory, please make donations to The Humane Education Society or The Alzheimer's Association. At her request, there will be no formal service.
