John Charles Russell, 79, of Ringgold, GA, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 19, 2023. He was a member of Boynton Baptist Church in Ringgold. He was a licensed & ordained pastor for many years.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Diane Russell; daughter, Renee Russell; parents, Melvin & Maggie Russell; several siblings.

Survivors include his daughter, Tammy (Andrew) Chastain; son, Chuck (Carolyn) Russell; brother, Cecil (Viola) Russell; nine grandchildren; papa the great of ten great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Boynton Baptist Church 4093 Boynton Dr, Ringgold, GA from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends again on Friday from 11 a.m. to noon. Dr. Keith McLeod & Pastor Chris Peponis will conduct the service in the Church at noon.

Interment will follow at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park.
