Lawrence Horace Howard Jr., age 85, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025. Larry was born in Huntington, West Virginia to his parents, Lawrence Horace Howard, Sr. & Ruby Pauline Perkins Howard. Larry married Henrietta Higdon Howard on October 28, 2013. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during Vietnam in Okinawa, Formosa & the Philippines from 1958 to 1960 as a Radio Man/Forward Observer. He served in the West Virginia Army National Guard from 14 to 16 years old after his grandmother signed for him. He is a former member of Steel Workers Teamsters, Atomic & Chemical Workers. He retired as an independent insurance agent after 28 years of being self-employed. He and Henrietta are members of Ringgold Church of Christ. Larry was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence & Ruby Howard and brother, William R. Howard. Survivors include his wife, Henrietta Howard; children, Larry Brian Howard, Phillip Andrew Howard & Cynthia Kay Howard Larrabee; sisters, Wanda P. Cumpian of Perrysburg, OH and Patricia L. (Jeff) Arnold of Gainesville, FL; step-daughters, Tina (Kevin) Kellogg, Marlene Whittle and several step-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 27 from 5p.m. to 8p.m. and Friday from 11a.m. to 1p.m. in Ringgold Church of Christ. The funeral will be conducted at 1p.m. in the church. Interment will follow the service in TN-GA Memorial Park.
