Martha Childers Hixson, 87, passed away on June 22, 2020. Born and raised in Chattanooga, she graduated in 1950 from Chattanooga High School. Martha was trained at Erlanger Hospital as an x-ray technician and served for over 40 years in that profession at Erlanger Hospital, in the office of Dr. Dennis Stohler, Mercy Hospital in Miami, FL, and Emory in Atlanta, GA. She was a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Virginia Camp Childers and her sister, Bonnie Childers Hagaman.

She is survived by her son, Garner (Susan) Hixson; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
