Mary Estelene Allen Maloy, formerly of Newport, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 1, 2025, at her home in Hamilton County, Tennessee. Born July 31, 1930, to the late Randolph and Gracie Bailey Allen, she lived much of her life in Cocke County. A devout Christian, she was a member of Newport Church of God, where she was actively involved until moving to Hamilton County ten years ago. Until her death, she enjoyed attending worship at The Ministry Center in Hixson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Noal Maloy, and her daughter Wanda Hodge Keller, her parents and ten siblings.
She is survived by her son, Raymond (Gale) Hodge of Ooltewah, TN, grandchildren Stephanie (Swift) Hensley of Knoxville, Julie Crabtree of Newport, Douglas (Stephanie) Hodge of Cleveland, TN, and Randy (Allison) Hodge of Columbia, SC, great-grandchildren Brooke (Jason) Lane of Jefferson City, Ariel Hensley of Chattanooga, Kamyrn Bailey (Jeffery) Fowler of Dandridge, Abigail Hodge, Hannah Hodge and Ryan Hodge of Columbia, SC, Justin Belford of Stuttgart, AR, Kyle (Kristin) Belford of Louisville, KY, Adam Belford of Cleveland, TN, great-great-grandchildren Braxtyn Sams, Bryson Sams, and Baylor Lane of Jefferson City, Sophie and Teddy, along with several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, May 17 at The Ministry Center, 2929 Hamill Road, Hixson, TN, with Reverend Phillip Harris, Reverend Jimmie Talley and Dr. Raymond Hodge officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. The family requests no flowers, but donations may be made in her memory to the Mary Maloy Endowment at the European Theological Seminary (Project number 710-0058), C/O Church of God World Missions, P. O. Box 8016, Cleveland, TN, 37320-8016.
A very special note of thanks to the numerous staff members of Enhabit Home Health Care of Chattanooga and Hearth Hospice of Cleveland who helped make Mary's final months much more comfortable and peaceful. Your love and care for her will never be forgotten.
