Milton Michael "Mike" Fairris, Jr., 74, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 at his home.

He was the son of the late Milton Michael Fairris, Sr. and Evelyn LaRuth Fuller Fairris and was predeceased by his son, Milton Michael Fairris, III; granddaughter, Ashley Brown and nephew, Aaron Mullins.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in Vietnam. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal with a Bronze Star.

Mike was a pilot and had a passion for aviation, fishing and gardening. He was the proprietor of Superior Appliance. He was a truly gifted and multi-talented musician and of the Christian faith.

Survivors include his daughter, Earline (Chris) Green, of Rossville, GA; son, Mark (Jessica Hendricks) Fairris, of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Milton Michael Fairris, IV, Chasten Fairris, Phillip Benjamin, Jr. and David Richardson; three geat-grandchildren and a sister, Jeanna (Rick) Mullins of Chattanooga.

The family will receive friends at Brainerd Hills Church of God on Monday, January 10 from 6 to 8p.m. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2p.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
