IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mistie Dawn
Clements
September 28, 1977 – September 3, 2017
Mistie Dawn Clements, 39, gained her angel wings on Sunday, September 3, 2017 peacefully, at her home surrounded by loved ones. A native of Chattanooga, TN, she was a long-time resident of the Ooltewah and Birchwood areas and was also a proud member of Silverdale Baptist Church. Mistie was a 1997 graduate of the Disney college program where her passion for helping terminally ill children began to blossom. Over the last 25 years, her volunteer and fundraising work included Special Friends Camp, Give Kids the World, Reinbow Riders therapeutic riding program, and the Make a Wish Foundation of East Tennessee where she completed a 26.7 mile hike in one day of 2016. Misties faith in God was her most impressive quality and her faith was apparent to all who were lucky enough to know her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Duaine Long.
Survivors include her husband, Michael; mother, Yvonne (Carlos) Long Ramirez; sister, Natalie (Jeremy) Moore; two grandmothers, Rosalie Farrior and Treva Long, all of the Chattanooga area.
A celebration of life service will be held at Silverdale Baptist Church Creekside (building behind main church in parking lot by sports fields) on Saturday, September 9, at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Mistie to the Make a Wish Foundation of East Tennessee.
