Nell Pierce Lyle, 90, of Charleston, passed away Friday, July 1, 2015. She was a member of the Charleston Cumberland Presbyterian Church and retired from Charleston School, where she served as a bookkeeper for many years. Following her retirement, she continued working for nearly twenty years as a substitute teacher at both Charleston and Walker Valley High School.

She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, R.D. Lyle and her parents, Clint Fisher Pierce & Arey Etta Duggan Pierce; brothers, Gene, Ralph & Paul Pierce; & sister, Ruth Pirkle.

Nell is survived by her brother & sister-in-law Roy & Betty Pierce of Cleveland; son & daughter-in-law, Rocky & Mary Lyle of Houston, Texas; daughter & son-in-law, Pam & Jerry Crane of Merritt Island Florida; three grandchildren & spouses; Monica & Derek Russell of Seguin, Texas; Derek and Marilu Lyle of Cypress, Texas; Rob & Alicia Crane of Maple Grove, Minnesota; and three great-grandchildren; Alexander, Evan and Adrienne Crane.

Honoring Nell's request for no funeral service, a private interment was held by her family.
