Patricia "Patty" Louise Hubbard, 56, of Hixson, Tennessee, went home to be with her Savior, Friday, December 27, 2024.
To know her is to love her, which we all did. When cancer became her nemesis a few years ago, she never wavered. Her faith in the Lord and her love for her family always remained strong. She simply kept her joy through it all. Most definitely, she was a warrior of the most valiant kind, an inspiration to all who knew her. AND she could play a mean cowbell, even while undergoing treatments! (Move over, Will Ferrell! Lol!)
She was very active in church ministries at Beacon Baptist Church & Rechoboth Baptist Church, from Sunday School to Awana to Vacation Bible School. You name it, she was part of it. She enjoyed playing various percussion instruments with the worship team and loved singing with her church choir and her family. Singing is how her family began, from a duet to a quartet.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lester & Dorothy Smith; brothers, Steven Smith, George Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Hubbard; daughter, Olivia Hubbard; son, Gabriel Hubbard; brother, Ron (Lois) Smith; sisters, Linda Grabowski, Faith Daniel; many nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends in Tennessee on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 10 a.m.at Rechoboth Baptist Church, 12622 Dayton Pike, Soddy-Daisy, TN. Pastor Alan Stewart will conduct a memorial service in the church at 11 a.m.
The family will receive friends in Michigan on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 11 a.m.at Beacon Baptist Church, 21721 Northline Rd., Taylor, MI. Pastor John Reilly will conduct a memorial service in the church at noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rechoboth Baptist Church.
Take joy in knowing she is pain free and cancer free.
"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8)." Until we meet again.
