Born December 6, 1955, Preston, aka, Kentt, met his Lord and Savior on February 8, 2021 after battling a lengthy illness.

He volunteered with the STARS Rescue Squad for fourteen years. He had a huge personality and loved having conversations/debates. Preston would always end those with a "Have a blessed day". We smile knowing he is truly having many blessed days now.

He had a passion for outdoor sports, woodworking and his "Sweet Tater", Avery.

Preston was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel Highsmith and Vivian Highsmith along with his grandson, Brayden.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne Highsmith; daughter, Erin (Clint) Wilborn; son, A.J. Arden; granddaughter, Avery Wilborn; brothers, Keith (Tammie) Highsmith, Kevin (Tammi) Highsmith; sisters, Karenn (Morgan) Hall, Kandy (Jeff) Jones; step-mother, Carol Highsmith; step-sisters, Lisa Wilkerson, Sharon Vaughn (Cookeville, TN); brothers-in-law, David (Valerie) Moore, David (Pat) Southern; sister-in-law, Laura Arden and many nieces and nephews. A private celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or STARS Rescue Squad.
