Richard L. Baxter, Sr., 74, native of Chattanooga, TN & Daytona Beach, FL, passed Tuesday March 4, 2025 at home surrounded by God, family & friends.

Rick's career choice was his hobby Jewelry & Repair, he was a Master Jeweler, at Rone Regency, as well as many other local jewelry establishments, & in Daytona Beach, FL for over 45 years.

Rick and his wife, Sandie, both avid sailors, received many awards on our Sandie B, Halifax Harbor Marina Yacht Club Sailing Association & Marina Port Orange Frostbite Series.

Rick loved life, enjoyed motocross racing, bikes, hunting, guns, target shooting, fishing, boating, water skiing, snow skiing, scuba diving and he involved us all in learning to live life your fullest. Rick hands on dad, his boys his pride and joy, both in BSA, as Rick, Committee Chair, and an Eagle Scout himself. Rick and his boys all played baseball.

Rick was a devoted, dedicated, passionate, selfless individual. He was an awesome husband, father, Pawpaw, brother, friend. He loved & believed in God. He adored and treasured his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Sandie R. Baxter; sons, Rick, Jr. & Danny, both of Chattanooga; brothers, Jim and Tom; grandsons, Conner and Kirk; granddaughter, Alyvia, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pastor Barry Lee of Oakwood Community Church and will officiate the celebration of life service will be held at Chickamauga Lake at Booker T. Washington State Park, 5801 Champion Road, on March 12, 2025 at 5 p.m. at Rick's request "It's 5 O'clock Somewhere."

Rick selflessly & nobly made the decision to donate his body to the Advancement of Science, The Medical Educational Research Institute; Memphis TN. Rick's precious gift of life will reach out and affect many lives, around the world at a better chance of life without cancer.

Thank you Rick for you! For your most precious legacy of life. We enjoyed life together 49 beautiful, loving years.
