Obituary
Richard A. Berent, 75, passed away July 1st, 2016 at Memorial Hospital with his wife by his side. Richard was an Army Special Forces veteran from the Vietnam War. He practiced as a nurse anesthetist in several local hospitals for 36 years before retiring. He was a loving husband to Charlene Sublett Berent for 44 years, a wonderful father to Rick Berent, his wife, Heather and his granddaughter, Fiona Berent.
He is survived by his sisters, Jo North, of Athens, GA, Carol Huttemann, of Savannah, GA, in addition to his niece and nephews and many other family member and friends.
He will be interred at Chattanooga National Cemetery with a memorial service to be announced at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, please send gifts in his memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
