Richard Earl Davis, 83 of Fort Oglethorpe died Sunday, May 4, 2014. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond & Dorothy Davis and sisters, Joanna and Phyllis. Survivors include his wife, Penny Gray-Davis; children, Rebecca (George) Alder, Phillip (Ardella) Davis, Dan (Julie) Davis and Rhonda (Don) Davis; step-son, Lee (Mattie) Gray; brother, Bob Davis; sister, Mary Canfield; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friend, Nene Jean Davis. The family will receive friends and family for fellowship and a meal on Thursday, May 8 at 5:30 in Battlefield Community SDA Church 96 Hillman Lane, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742. The Rev. Bob DeForest will conduct the service at 7 p.m. Arrangements are by Covenant Funeral & Crematory, Crox family owned and operated.
